COAL SAVING IN 1 WELLINGTON: NEED FOR GREATER ECONOMY. The National Efficiency Board has stated that coal must be conserved. Already the lighting authorities have been empowered to restrict supplies of coal, gas, or electricity These savings,' however, must be supplemented by rigid economy on the part of householders if there is to be sufficient coal to carry the country through this winter Fortunately, there is no need to quench the home fires. They can be kept burning cheerfully and warmly if the patented preparation Saveo—the National Coal Saver—is sprinkled on the fuel. Some people may feel sceptical as to the efficiency of Saveo. But the hundreds of users in Wellington know that it does make coal slow-bnrning, without lessening its heating or cooking qualities. Get a sixpenny packet from your dealer, or at any of these stores : D.1.C., Wairarapa Farmers', George Winder, Wardell's, Duthie's, Janson Bros., M'Uwraith's, Campbell or Cooper's Hardware (Newtown), Boyd (Hataitai), or Andrewartha (Kilbirnie). Mix the Saveo with water. Sprinkle coal, coke, or slack—preferably a short time before putting on fire. (The unused Saveo can be kept in any old tin.) Saveo makes every shovelful of coal bum longer and brighter. A public servant reports that whereas a shovelful of ordinary State Coal used to last only half an hour, treated with Saveo it now burns warmly for nearly one hour. Figuring on this basis, one ( can easily save £3 a year on coal by regularly using Saveo. Wholesale only: The Saveo Proprietary, Box 399, Wellington.—Advt.
