MAGISTRATE'S COURT
A number of inebriates were dealt with before Mr.. L. G. - Reid,. S.M;, in the Magistrate's Court to-day. Edith Sheridan, who did riot appear to , answer a charge o£ drunkenness, had her bail (20s) estreated. William Waters and Alexander Waters were each fined 20s, with the usual alternative.
Aa elderly woman named Mary Ann Allen, whose record- was- not a clean one, denied being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient^ lawful means of support., The evidence against her left no room for doubt, however, and the defendant wae sent to gaol for one month. .
