QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT.

(RBUIER'S TELEGRAM.)

LONDON, 7th June. In the House of Commons, Mr. Stanton (Independent La'oour) asked .why hundreds and thousands of coloured members of the Empire, who were ready and willing to'go''to ■ the front, were not used.

Mr. J. I. Macpherson (Under-Secre-tary for War) replied that the means of utilising to .the best advantage the services of the coloured peoples had been thoroughly investigated.
