CARSO FIGHTING
AUSTRIAN ATTACKS REPULSED.
The High Commissioner reports :—
LONDON, 7th June, 5.50 p.m.
Rome official report : Violent enemy attacks were made from a hill to the south oF Versix and a hill eastward of Jamiano. Our positions were strenuously defended. The engagement last nearly the whole day, with varying fortune until the evening, when the enemy was completely repulsed. " . . Another attack from Flonder towards Sablici was promptly stopped by our fire before it developed.
