RESPONSIBLE FOR GROWING DISTRUST
IN GERMANY
(Received May 31, 10 a.m.) BERNE, 30th May.
The Munich Post publishes an outspoken attack on Heir Bethmann-HoH-weg's double-dealing, which it says is responsible for growing distrust- and uff* easiness in Germany "Not even the youngest lieutenant believes in the optimistic idea that our enemies will be forced to beg for mercy in three or four months. The German people desire a peace which will leave the nation's honour intact, which will exclude the possibility of a future war of revenge, and will enable the world to resume productive works. "At the same time, a purer air must blow in upon Germany, particularly North Germany, to ensure democratic political life. ' ,
