It was stated by Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., and a member of the City Council, at the meeting .of the Education Board to-day, that the municipality had a scheme in operation to loan libraries to schools. The Chairman stated that Mr. B'aillie, ■the' Public Librarian,: had originated the 1 idea,, which had been in operation for some time.
■Representations have been made to The Post- by the friends of Dr. Yon Danneville, who was interned on Somes Island .on Saturday, against the statement that, she is of German nationality. She is said by them to be of Danish birth. ;:•
