BOYS' INSTITUTE SCOUTS
The scout troop of the Boys' Institute met tho other evening and farowelled Mr. H. V Blair, the scoutmaster of the troop, who goes into camp with the 30th Roinforcements. The function took the form of a games' tournament amongst tho scouts, after which all adjourned to the dining-room, where supper was provided. During the course of the evening, Mr. F. Ross, director, on. behalf of the boys, presented Mr. Blair with a pair of military brushes and a fountain pen. The director referred in glowing terms to the work accomplished by Mr, Blair as scoutmaster of the troop.. Not only had he organised tho troop, but ho had left it in a state of efficiency that reflected the greatest credit on him. The institute loses in Mr. Blair one of its staunchest workers, and the boys one of their best friends. Commissioner Donkin and Scoutmaster Bell also addressed the boys, urging them to stand by the troop until the return of their scoutmaster, whom one and all wished a speedy and safo return.
