LONDON, 10th May. . Colonel Repington, military expert of The Times, writes : "There are no military reasons for expecting an early end of the war. The Empire must legislate for a long war. The deciding factor will now be the resolution of the belligerent peoples. Will the British democracy allow history to say that they failed in the eleventh hour? All depends upon the answer."
