DISCHARGED SOLDIERS

Since the Discharged Soldiers' Information Department was instituted 6589 cases have been disposed of, 848' are under action, and 275 cases are not ready for: action. A total of 1496 have been placed in employment, 1509 have notified that they did not want assistance, 2807 .had work to return to or had re-enlisted, and as many as 621 could not be found in spite of repeated communications. There are at present on the "Employment Wanted" Register 848 cases, including four at Wellington.
