WASHINGTON,.3rd May. General Joffre and M. Viviani were riotously greeted ,on their.,visit to the, House of Representatives. •

M. Viviani, speaking in French, thanked the House for the warmth of its welcome, and paid a tribute to _ the leadership of President Wilson. He concluded, "Vive I'Amerique! " General Joffre bowed repeatedly. - The Speaker led the applause, and caused some amusement by refraining from pronouncing the' visitors' difficult names.
