NEW (MACMAHON'S) THEATRE.
"Hulda 'from Holland," featuring dainty Mary Pickford, will receive its final "screening to-night. "THE CHEAT." By special request of numbers of patrons the management of the New Theatre is again showing "The Cheat," commencing to-morrow morning, and continuing throughout the week. This picture, which features Fannie Ward in her masterpiece, assisted by Jack Dean and Seesue Hayakawa, the Japanese Irving, is the greatest photo drama ever produced by the Lasky Company. The story is highly sensational. Richard Hardy, a New York stockbroker, with a beautiful home on Long Island, has been on the wrong end of the market, and is staking his last dollar on D. and 0. stock. His wife, Edith, not knowing his financial position, is entertaining and dressing lavishly. Living near the Hardys is a popular young Japanese of wealth, who is madly in love with Edith, and when she asks him for his house for the Red Cross ball for the benefit of the Belgium sufferers, he gladly consents. After that the plot thickens and finishes in a startling manner. There are excellent supporting items.
