TURKS' HASTY RETREAT
ADVENTURE OF THE 13th ARMY,
The High Commissioner reports: — LONDON, 27th April, 3.20 p.m. An official report from Mesopotamia states:—On Wednesday night, • the 13th Turkish Army Corps retreated hastily on both banks of the Shatt-el-Adhem towards the Jebel Hamlin hills, from which it had issued a few days previously. The Turks are now entrenching after their second attempt tv interfere with General Maude's operations against the 18th Turkish Army Corps.
