AUSTRALIAN TRANSPORT SUNK
TROOPS AND CREW SAVED
MELBOURNE, Thia Day. ■ The Federal Prime Minister (Mr. W. M. Hughes) has announced that the P. and 0. steamer Ballarat (11,120 tons) was sunk at the entrance to the English Channel on the 25th. ' ' All the troops and members of the crew were saved.
