To-night Tat the Grand, Petone, "The Pillory," a drama of human interest, will be screened. " The Common Law "' is advertised for next Wednesday.

FANCY FAIR AND SALE OF WORK,

Attention is directed to an advertisement relating to the fancy fair and sale of work, to be opened by his Grace Archbishop O'Shea at the' Town HaJl (Concert Chamber) this evening at 8 o'clock. Her Excellency the CounteES of Liverpooll has accorded her patronage to the fair, the proceeds of which will be devoted to the building fund of the new infant school and kindergarten which it is proposed to erect in (St. Joseph's parish. An attractive programme will be presented each evening during 1 the week of the fair, consisting of fancy dances by the pupils of Miss Guise, gymnastic displays by the pupils of the Marist Brothers' schools, and musical items by leading amateurs of the city. The object of the fair is expected to command the sympathy and support of a great many people.
