ALLEGED MURDER
AT FRANKTON JUNCTION
HOTEL
ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT.

HAMILTON, This Day.
In the Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr. Rawson, S.M. David Morgan Leckie, alias Morgan, a onearmed man, was charged that, on or about 16th April, 1917, at Hamilton, he did murder Albert Ryan, who was found in an unconscious condition with a fractured Bkull at the Frankton Junction, Hotel on 16th' April, and died on the 18th.
Senior-Sergeant Cassells represented the police. The evidence was practically the same as given at the inquest. Under cross-examination, Drs. Noonan and Douglas stated they had seen no signs of old wounds or marked depressions in the skull of the, deceased. Dr. Douglas said the results which he had seen on the body of deceased might have been produced by falling out of bed or falling against a bedstead.
