ROSENEATH SCHOOL
.The annual report-, of the Roaeneath _ School Committee states that the number of names an the roll for the year ended 1916 was 287,, as against 261 for 1916, an increase of 26. The year's,work ha« been extremely satisfaotory. In Ootoberlast the department inoreased: the marks required for the proficiency certificate, but notwithstanding this surprise on the eve of the examination,' 95 per. cent, of the scholars grained their prbfioienoy • certificates, which speaks volumes for the tuition at the school. The credit balance on 31st December was £41 la 9d.
