KELBURN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The anniversary "social" in connection with the Kelburn Presbyterian Church was held last evening, there being «i good attendance of members and friends of the congregation. Tho Rev.' A. C. W. Standage presided. An address was delivered by Chaplain-Captain Scott, of Trentham, and ah enjoyable programme* was rendered, consisting of songs by Mrs. R. Tait, Mr. R. Tait, Mi-. W. Goiidie, Mre. ff. F. Wood, and Mr. H. F. Wood, and recitations by Miss Petrie. Miss I». Caddick played the accompaniments. The gathering also took the form, of a * farewell "social" to Mi", and Mrs. T. il. Fleming and family and Miss Smith, who have for many years been closely associated with the congregation, and are shortly leaving for Dunedin. On behalf of the congregation Mr. Standage presented them with an autograph-album containing" the autographs of tho members and adherents, and also containing photographs of interest in connection with the church. Thb Rev, W. J. Comrie, and Messrs. Tait jind flay, on behalf of the various oiganisations of the church, spoke of the valued services rendered during the past years by the family in question, and of tli<! great regret thai was fell regarding their departure. Mr. 'Fleming respdnderl on behMf of Miss Smith 'liimfelf and family. Supper was provided by Hie ladies, arid a pleasant pveninc? terminated by a vote of thanks (proposed by Mr. C. 'S. Moore) to thosts" who had contributed towards its success.
