'•The Press Bureau states that Lord Derby, on behalf of the War Cabinet, in a letter to the medical profession, says that the enemy, totally disregarding the universal tenets of civilised warfare, had deliberately instituted the submarine compaign. Therefox'e it is, essential to establish many hospitals in various theatres of the war, and it is thus necessary to ssoure the services of every doctor who am be spawsd. The Government, is is
possession, of figures showing that the number available is more than sufficient if their work in Britain is undertaken by doctors over the military age. The War Cabinet has therefore' decided to call up every doctor of military age forthwith.
