AN ADJOURNMENT.

(»I TgLBGBAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

HAMILTON, This Day.

On the resumption of the Supreme Court to-day, Mr. Mays, for the Crown, applied that the hearing of the charge of perjury against Makarini and the retrial of the other case be adjourned till Thursday next, to allow him to communicate with the Attorney-Qcneral. Mr. Lundon said he did not object. He stated that if the Makarini case was taken it would occupy fully a fortnight, as he intended going fully into it. _ His-- Honour granted the application, but said the Crown would have to be ready by Thursday.
