CIVIC ELECTIONS
Labour candidates addressed open-air meetings at Ghuznee-street and Clydequay on Saturday night. They^ blamed the capitalists for "the. Strike, and the City Council for its failure to deal with the milk question and i* erect homes fop ite employees. The Greater Wellington Municipal Association candidates addressed a wellattended meeting at the AnglicaniSchoolroom, Wadestown, on Saturday night. Addresses were delivered by Messrs. Cr. Frost, C. B. Norwood, J.-'Q. Shor&nd, J. E. Jenkinson, and W. H. Bennett. Among other things they advocated the vesting of Wilton's Bush in the City Council and the reduction of tram fares on the Wadestown line.
