FOUND DEAD

CARTERTON, 21st April.
A man named Frederick Max was found dead in a hut on the farm of Albert May, at Waihakeke. The indications point to death through an epileptic fit. Evidently the man had been dead since Wednesday night, when he was last seen alive by his nephew.
A visitor to Eltham on Wednesday (the Argus says) was Mr. George Randall, of Brisbane, an old Queensland colonist, he having arrived in that country some 45 years ago. He ia spending a holiday: in. JJew Zealand, and made a brief stay in Eltham. He declared that the views of the Dominion to be obtained from the railway trains was not at all inspiring, but on closer inspection he was oonvinced that many parts of Taranaki at least were capable of vying with the best agricultural and pastoral land in the woria.
