AUTUMN SUNSHINE
Tiiere was a distinctly keen, nip in the air' in the early hours of the morning, but the warm sunshine later made the conditions more congenial. Other places, however, were not so fortunate. A southerly, gale ia in evidence in the Far North, and strong southeriies, with rain, have been experienced, especially in the northerly; districts. Rain is reported as having fallen on the West Coast and in Ofcago. The atmospheric pressure has increased, especially in the South, but has fallen in the North. The night was cold in the South,, and one or two frosts were reported inland!. Though the weather was 6O pleasing locally, the Dominion Meteorologist -reports that tho indications are for a change. Tho forecast is for cold and w changeable weather, squally at times, with heavy showers generally. A very cold' night' may be looked for, especially in the South. Variable winds are probable foi a little while, but are likely to_ change to southerly and increase, with a rapidly rising barometer.
