Auckland.—Mr. J. H. Gunson has been returned unopposed as Mayor of Auckland city. "Dunedin.—Mr. J. J. Clark, the retiring Mayor, and Mr. C. R. Green havo been nominated for the city Mayoralty. For councillors, there are twenty-eight nominations; for eighteen seats. ' Palmerston North.—Mr. J. A. Naeh was returned 'unopposed as the Mayor of PaJmerston North.
Christchurch.—Mr. H. Holland (sitting Mayor} and Mr. James M'Combs, M.P. (Labour) were nominated for the Mayoralty. For sixteen seats on- the City Council there are thirty nominations, inclnd--1 ing one lady. Riccarton.—Mr. J. Brown was re-elected ; Mayor of Puiccarton. i Thames.—The following have been ' elected unopposed :—Mayor, H. Low; ConnciDoTß, Geo. Cribb, Geo. Cullen, A. S. Ensor, Geo. Warne. J. Coakky.J.
