:The Acting-Premier * and the Minister for Mines addressed the miners at Million, Stockton, and Denniston to-day, putting, it is understood, the position pjainly before them. Representatives of the press were not.admitted., The Ministers returned toWestport this evening, and leave on a visit to Grey mouth in the iriorning.

'.It is, intended to take on Thursday a 'secret ballot of tho miners' in the Buller district on the question of resuming work.
