BODY IN THE HARBOUR

Yesterday morning- the police disoovored in the harbour, near Oriental Bay, the body of a man, which, from appearances, had been in the water for about a fortnight. The features wore unrecognisable, but the clothes on the body and the general appearance pointed to the deceased being a coal worker. Investigation was made by the police, with the result that deceased's wife identified the body as that of Jeremiah Carroll, who had been missing from his home in Tina-kori-road since sth April. An inquest will bo held at 9.30 o'clock to-morrow.
