A writ has been issued by three members of the Legislative Council against the Attorney-General asking foT an in-' junction restraining the Government from proceeding with the referendum on the question of abolition of the • Upper House.
[A writ was issued on *lh April for the holding of a referendum on the abolitTon of the Legislative Council. Polling day was fixed for sth May (the same day as for the Federal Electionsjj and voting' is compulsory.]
