LATEST APPOINTMENTS. Th« following appointments, promotions, transfers, etc., on the home establishment have been approved : — N.Z. Staff Corps. Major F. H. Lampen, N.Z:S.C,. is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. and absorbed into the establishment with his original rank and seniority therein as captain, and is granted the temporary, rank of major whilst employed as camp adjutant, Trentham Camp. Dated 31st March, 1917. ! Lieut. D. Bryan; N.Z.S.C., is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. and j absorbed into the establishment with his original rank and seniority therein as lieutenant, as- from 16th August, 1914. He retains the temporary rank of captain whilst holding the appointment- of As-I sistant Military Secretary and Aide deCamp to the Commandant, New Zealand Military Forces. .* Dated 31st March, 4917. ■'.:,■,'■ Lieut. N. W. M'Dd. Weir, N.Z.S.C, is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F., and absorbed into tlie establishment with his original rank and Seniority therein as lieutenant, as from 16th August, 1914. James OhiVers to be captain, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913 (dated 23rd March, 1917). / 11th Regiment (Taranaki Rifles). 2nd Lieut. C. Gray relinquishes the appointment as area officer (temporary) and is posted for duty at General Head•quarfcers (dated Ist March, 1917). 2nd Lieut. C. W. Quilliam, from the Unattached List (b)> to be 2nd lieutenant, supernumerary to establishment (dated 29th March, 1917). 17th (Ruahine) Regiment. 2nd Lieut. D. C. Collins, from the Unattached List (b),' to be 2nd lieutenant (dated 21st February, 1917). j Rifle Brigade (Territorial Unit). 2nd Lieut. H. A. Signal is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. and absorbed with his original rank and seniority, as 2nd lieutenant, as from 22nd July, 1916, : Medical Corps. j Major (temp. Lieut.-Col.) J. S. Elliott, M.D., Edin., relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Medical Services, 'Wellington Military District, Mid retains his present rank without pay until further notice, with effect from Ist March, 1917. Capt. (temp. Lieut-Col.) W. K. Fyffe to be Assistant Director of Medical Services, Wellington Military District, with effect from Ist March, 1917. . ■ » , Chaplains Department. The R«v. P. Dore is struck 'off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. and absorbed with his original rank and seniority as Chaplain to the Forces (4th Class) as from Ist September, 1914. He has been posted to the .Retired List with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed , uniform (dated 15th April, 1917).
