TOY DOGS
SECOND ANNUAL SHOW OPENS.
The second annual show of the New Zealand .Toy Dog Club is being held today in tho Skating Rink, Viyian-stroet. There are on exhibition 130 dogs, tho largest number of entries for any toy dog ehovv in Australasia. Among them are several imported animals, including Crystal Palaco and New York winners. Of such a high standard are some of them that the judges bad a difficult 'task in deciding their awirds. The show is very strong in pomoranians, Australian .terriers, Sydney silkies, pugs, and Pekingese. The dogs of Mrs. Geo. Lewis and Mrs. Flipp took soveral first prizes in pomernnians (dogs), and Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Werne, and Mr. A. Sherbrook in pqmcranian bitches. With Australian terriers, Mrs. Turrell, .. Mr; Mallows, Mr. Roberts, and Mr. Simmonds were very -successful; with Sydney silkies winners were Messrs. A. M'Kenzie, W. A. Sakoy, and Barlow Wills, whilo witn Pekingese Mrs. Addison. and Miss Richardson swept the board.
The show is a most attractive one, and was well attended this morning and afternoon. It will bo open this evening. ..'
