The Hospital Ship Salta (7284 ton*) was also mined in the Channel

Fifty-two of those on board perished. ■ . . A later message states that the wounded on the Gloucester Castle were saved.

[The Gloucester Castle wag a steer twin-screw steamer, owned by the Union Castle Mail Steam Ship Company. She was built in Glaßgow by Fairfield and Company, in 1911.. The Salta was owned by the Admiralty, and was also built in 1911.]
