. MADRID, 13th-"April, 'A critical .situation has arisen over the case of the San Fulgencio. King Alfonso is consulting the political leaders, to secure agreement before acting. Senor Alvarez, leader of the Reformists, in an interview, declared that it now was impossible for Spain to remain neutral. [The San Fulgencio is a Spanish steamer of 1558 tons. Although it has not been reported, the vessel has probably been'a victim of Germany's "sea piracy campaign.] •
GERMAN TYRANNY IN BULGARIA
DEMONSTRATION AT SOFIA
' LONDON, 12th" April. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent at Athens reports : "Enormous crowds paraded the streets of Sofia. Bnlgars, carrying a real skull and crossbones, denounced King Ferdinand, Germany, and the war. The military often fired, causing many casualties.

(Eeceived April. 14, 8.30 a.m.) ■ LONDON, 13th April. General Sarrail (the Trench Commander-in-Chief in Macedonia) reports that his aviators are dropping among the Bulgarian troops a proclamation notifying that a popular and military revolt against the Germans had broken out in Bulgaria

. PARIS, 13th April. General Sarrail's proclamation was di'opped in the Bulgarian lines owing to information being received of anti-German demonstrations by the Bulgarian garrison. The proclamation stated that a revolt had broken out, especially in Sofia, where the troops and people had riven against German^ tyranny. German platoons/ were traversing the streets, firing on the inhabitants. It also mentions America's action, and invites the Bulgarians to emulate the Bus- —. giaog.
