SOME HIGH-PRICED LOTS.

. ' SYDNEY) This Day. At the thoroughbred yearling sales, although prices generally were low, high figures were paid for a few choice lots. A Tressady—Desert Rose colt fetched 1500 guineas, and a Maltster—Ardea colt 800 guineas. Mr. E. J. Watt paid 425 guineas for a Varco—Lukearm colt, 280 for a | Fotafix—Panada colt, and 170 for a Fortafix—Panada filly. Mr. J. Brown paid 80 guineas for a Cooltrim—Drowsy filly, and Mr. H. A. Taylor 70 guineas for a Charlemagne—Lochee filly.
