MISSION TO SEAMEN
The weekly concert of the Mission to Seamen was held_ last evening. Miss Gawler opened with a pianoforte solo; Mr. Bryant sang "Home Land," and as an encore, "For You Alone"; Mr. F.^ Bromley recited a "Gentleman Ranker," and as an encore "A Similar Case' 1; MiES M. Jennings sang "Tho Sunshine of Your Smile".; Mr. W Wood recited "Smiting 1 the Rock,'' and as an oncoro sang, "Gee, But It's Great to Meet a Friend From Your Homo Town"; Mr. M'Farlane.sang "Minnie" with a special chorus; Mr Size contributed a mouth organ solo; Mr. Cooper, of a ship in port, also played a solo on the same instrument; Mr. Sizewon tha prize for the best item; Miss Gawler led in a few ragtime numbers; Mr. Bromley recited "New Year's Eve"; Miss Gawler sang "Mother Machrec" very sweetly, and as an- encore, "Jest Her' Way"; Mr. Bryant sang "There's a Jjong; .Long Trail,'.' tho audience joining in the chorus; Miss Jennings sang "When You Come Home," and Mr Moore led in a number of excellent humorous stories. Miss M. Gawler filled tho role of accompanist., The evening was one of tho most pleasant spent at the mission.
