WESTERLY WEATHER

■ To-day the Dominion Meteorologist reports that a westerly low pressure of decreasing intensity passed in the South yesterday, and the barometer has risen during the night. Misty rain has fallen in many parts of the Dominion, and the weather has been rather unsettled. There has been but little result Jrom the disturbance, though it neutralised the effect of the rear of the East Coast cyclone. Moderate to strong north-westerly to south-westerly winds have predominated. The forecast for to-day .is for a continuance of westerly winds with a southerly tendency. The weather generally may be cloudy and unsettled, with scattered shower* and fogs in parts. The barometer is still unsettled.
