On the second day of the Wanganui Races, the- totalisator handled £35,854, making a total of £67,693 for the meeting, as against £6p,664 for the last meeting. Remaining results:—

Fordell Handicap Hurdles, of 175 soys; one mile and three-quarters.—4 Record, 10.9 (E. Copestake), 1; 3 Harbour Light, 11.12 (J. Deerey), 2; 2 jMarton, 10.1 (L. Trail 1), 3. Also started: 1 Kurapai 11.9, S Grandson 9.0. In a strong finish Record won by a short neck, Marton three lengths away. Time, 3rain 16 2-ssec.

Farewell Handicap, of 200 soys; six furlongs.—2 Chakwana, 8.7 (A. Reed), 1; 1 tete-a-Teto, 10.2 (J. O'Shea), 2; 4 Nystad, 7.11 (B. Deeloy), 3. Also started : 6 Interlude 7.7, 8 Veto 7.6,3 Tree Lucerne 7.3, 7 Greenstreet 6.13, S Madame Ristori 6.13. Tete-a-Tete led Nystad into the straight, when Chakwana came ahead strongly on the outside and won by a length. Time, Imin 14 1-Ssec.
