TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH
In''connection with the Methodist Conference now sitting in this city, special preachers occupied the pulpit of Trinity Church, Wellington South, yesterday. The morning service was in the hands of the Rev. Principal C. H. Garland, of the Theolggical College, who preached an exceedingly able sermon from the words: "Be tiiou 1 faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.'' (Rev. 11., 10.) In the evening the preacher ' was the Rev. C. H. Laws, fl'.A., of Auckland. His theme was found in Isaiah L., 10: "Who is. among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of His servant? He that wn-lkfith in darkness and hath no light, let him trust in the namo of the Lord, and stay upon his God." The choir rendered tho anthem. ''Give peace in our time, 0 Lord," and Mr. J. Davidson sang thp solo "Nearer, my God, to Thee." Mr.. Dickson officiated at the organ. There .^yer© large congregations at both sorvices.
