ASSURANCES OF SAFETY ASKED FOR,
(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLB ASSOCIATION.) ■WASHINGTON, 20th February. The State Department has asked Turkey for assurances of the safety of the vessel which is going to Beirut to bring 1000 American refugees to the United States, and also that Turkey shall provide similar assurances from AusfcroGerrriany.
