UNTIRING EFFORTS.
In'the matter of patriotic effortran thi Wairarapa, the women have played. I very important part, and it is uhlikel] that the vast amount they have done fa tho boys in camp and at the front wil ever be thoroughly known. They,ha v\ willingly sacrificed time and money, -bii they have at least the. satisfaction ■ d knowing that their efforts are appreci ated. Dances are held regularly at al the Wairarapa "towns, and the soldier attending these are always properl; looked after. . -■■■..: The Wairarapa branch of. tho, livei pool Equipment and British Red Cros Committee was formed a. few days afta tho war commenced, with. Mrs..;J. M Coradirie (Mayoress) as president, Mrs W. H. Cruickshank, hon. treasurer, am Miss Dalrymplehon. secretary, togetha with an influential ■ committee of womeT of the Wairarapa. '• Mrs. Cruickshan] and Miss Dalrymple resigned-after somj months of strenuous work, and Mrs J. Caselberg and Miss J. Mackeonzi . were appointed to fill their places.
