LODGE MEETINGS
The tfeekly session of Pioneer Lodg«, No. 11,' was held 'at tho Pvechabite Chambers,. Manners-street. C.T. Bro. H. J. Millan presided over a fair attendance. Greetings were received from the G:C.T. (Bro. • Dalton), Bro. Anstey (Wanganui), and Bro. Hilson (Sir Henry Havelock Lodge/ Auckland). Bro. Tr'evethick, secretary of G.L. Reception. Gommittee, gave a short resume of the business transacted at'its last meeting. The G.T. also reported that the Accommodation Committee had been successful in booking accommodation for 30 delegates. The secretai^ ■ then made his quarterly report.. He pointed out the urgent necessity of every member redoubling his efforts during- the coming quarter; '. A report from the secretary and treasurer of the Harmony Committee wasthensubmitted, in which the officer strongly appealed for the success of the "Dutch Auction" to make up the deficiency in the returns of the previous quarter. Thd officers were accorded a hearty vote: of thanks for their, exhaustive reports. . A hearty vote.of thanks was accorded the proprietors of the Evening Post for the insertion of reports of lodge proceedings during the past quarter. The lodge proceeded to elect its G.L. delegates. After considerable- balloting, Sis. Mrs. Miller was elected Reg.' Del. and Bro. Warren Alternate. ' A vote of sympathy . was passed- to the relatives of the late Sis.Launder, and the secretary was instructed to-.convey, the same to the family. The meeting then closed, to enable, the lodges-of the .Wellington district;to assemble 'and' consider their remits to Grand Lodge, assembling'■ at Easter. Next week will be a Dutch auction.
