No town situated in the midst of an important district. such as Masterton should bo without a really good book and stationery depot. In this particular direction Masterton folks are well catered for by Messrs. M'Leod and Young (R. J. -Young), booksellers and stationers. The public can usually, depend upon obtaining the books worth while that they require, and that very soon after these are published at Home. College, high and primary schools aro well catered for, books and stationery requirements being Supplied at city prices. In fancy goods such as photo frames, pictures, brass and copper ware, leather goods of aD kinds, children's toys, etc., really good stocks are carried. .The firm are agents for Messrs. Chas. Begg and Co., Ltd., the well-known music purveyors and piano dealers. Amongst tho fine English pianos they handle are such reliable makers as John Brinsmead and Sons, Justin Brown, George Rodger and Sons, Challen and Sons, Moore and Moore, and Begg's own models. The famous "Pleyel" and "Bord" pianos, made in Paris,, are also in stock. The firm's piano-tuner (Mr. Arthur Williams) attends to clients' wants in this direction anywhere in the Wairarapa.
