The proprietor of the above rapidly growing business, Mr. T. Newland, has reason _to feel very proud of the manner in which_ his trade has expanded sines commencing as a fruit and produce agent some two years ago. A visit to Newland's stores, at almost any hour of the day provides, an object-lesson ■ in-not only the results of his skilful organisation and business ability, but in tho progress which the town itself has made within tho time mentioned. . When first established the proprietor thought he had dono well if one or two cases of fruit had been retailed over the counter, but to-day it is nothing unusual for one hundred cases oi more to pass through his hands in a single day. All kinds of fruit is received daily in very. large quantities, and no matter how large the order rr ;y be, Mr. Newlandcan supply it. He is agent for Pahner'3 celebrated calf iood, poultry and pig meals, Gibvoiis's vegetable find flower seeds and ■■(iciulises in the buying and selling", ol ;,rudi.ee of all kinds, including oats, ai.il;, b-an, pollard. The highest price is ;.~,:;1 for farmers' proch.r.s, and a special invitation is extended to all who may desire to dispose of samo to call and ace Mr. Newland. Ladies of Masterton and district will find these stores the best for all kinds .of. fruit and ■ vegetables. ■
