The moist energetic scientific measures are being taken to Overcome' the cholera with which Austria has largely defended herself. The Italian docj^rs have established a- quarantine zone with hospitals containing 120,000 beds, and in addition five .thousand bed lazarets. Eighteen thousand prisoners were examined after the battle of Gorizia, and as a result the contagion did not spread outsido this zone.
