PROGRESS OP NEW, ARRANGEMENTS.
LONDON, 30th January.
The Bradford wool market is quiet, and is anxiously awaiting the result of the meeting on Wednesday between the representatives of the traders/ and th& War Contracts Dpartment. • At the meeting of the Union Bank shareholders, tho 'chairman referred to the difficulty of financing business between Britain and Australia and New Zealand, and said that the Governments concerned had considerably aided the banks in connection with wool, wheat, and meat.
The Army Council and the Wool Control Committee have appointed Mr. Austin Wilson, of the Hull-Barnsley Railway, to superintend the wool transit.
