EARTHQUAKE RECORDED
SYDNEY, 22nd January.
The seismograph, at Riverview College at 10.45 o'clock yesterday ■ morning~recorded an earthquake of high intensity, 2900 miles from Sydney, probably in-the Pacific, north-east of Samoa.
