ENEMY WARSHIP TORPEDOED

TWO -MAY HAVE BEEN •HIT.

CADSTRAU.4N-NE-W ZEAXASD CABLE ASSOCIATION.) i LONDON, 19th DecemberThe Daily Chronicle's Amsterdam correspondent states that the German warship which a British submarine torpedoed a few weeks ago was either the Grosser-Kurfurst (25,887 tons), or the Yon Der Tann (18,000 tons). It was even possible for both vessels to have been struck, as there was an interval between the shots and the submarine commander may have mistaken the second vessel in the darkness for the first. Immediately afterwards the majority of the crews of both vessels were- given a long spell of shore leave.
