LONDON, 7th December. Obituary.—Dr. Hans Richter, conductor of the Bayreuth Orchestra.

[Dr. Rkhter was born in Hungary in 1843. He. assumed direction of the Court Opera Theatre in Vienna in 1875, and directed the Bayreuth Festival in 1876. He commenced orchestral concerts in London from 1879, and in 1910-11 he was conductor to the Halle Concerts Society.]
