MILITARY CONCERT AND REVUE.
On Saturday evening, in the large Town Hall, the n.c.o.'s of the 24th Reinforcements, by permission of Colonel Potter, in conjunction with the Wellington Savage Club, will give an entertainment in aid of the Red Cross Fund. In the first half allthe items will be given by the men from Trentham, while the second half is to be supplied by the Wellington Savage Club, who will repeat the popular "Trench Revue." The n.co's items will comprise : Duet,. " The Battle Eve, Corporals Hannah- and Joll; song "Toreador Hola," Corporal Nees ; monologue (selected), Corporal Fenton (champion elocutionist of Christchurch) • song "Chip of the Old Block," Lieutenant A. Oakey; song, ".Friend of Mine," Corporal Hannah ; quartet, " The Dear Little Shamrock," 24th Quartet; song King f Charles," Corporal Joll (Christchurch s leading bass); and 'fire-club swinging exhibition by Captain Potter (champion fire-club swinger), who w iP perform a double back somersault while L swinging. The accompaniments ' will be played by Corporal Dingle. The outstanding features of the second half The Trench Revue," are :—Chorus, Merriest Fellows"; "Spotty,'1 N E. Aitken; " The Drummer." E. His Excellency the Governor and. Lady Liverpool will be present. The box plan is now open at the Bristol, where tickets to all parts may be purchased.
