LODGE MEETINGS
The fortnightly meeting of Lod g6 Coronation, U.A.0.D., was held on Tuesday evening Bro. A. Smith, A.D.. presided over a large attendance. The following visitors were officially received: Bro go ugh, P.D.P. ; Bro. Johnson, P D P • Bro. Shaw, A.DI, Island Bay; Bro' Chapman, A.D., Melrose; Bro. Parsonage, P.A., Star of New Zealand; Bro. Everett,, p.A. Melrose; Bro. Clayton, V.A., Island Bay; and Bro. Marshall, V.A., Melrose. The Sick Bards' reports were received and accounts passed for payment. . An interesting report was tendered by Bro. Laughton. Tbe judges from the Royal Arch Chapter attended and examined the Lodge in the Ritual hhield competition. The nomination of officers was set down for next meeting A pleasant evening concluded with the .National Anthem
The fortnightly meeting of the Pacific Lodge, No. 8, U.A.0.D., was held on Monday AD. Bro. J. Matey presided ™* _? mall attendance of members. Ihe bards reported 18 members on the sick fund, and £33 16s 4d sick pay was passed for payment. An appeal was received from one member in poor circumstances and a grant of £3 3s was made from the Benevolent Fund. The next lodge night has been set apart for the nomination of officers for the ensuing halfyear. After the business of the evening was disposed of the members indulged «n friendly games of cards.
