"THE MERCHANT'OF VENICE" AT KHANDALLAH
Members of the Khandallah Literary and Debating Society produced "The Merchant of Venice" before a large audience in the Khandallah Hall last evening. The comedy was. well staged for a local production, and the costumes were good. The leading characters were sustained by Misses Batham and M. Sunderland, Mrs. Claude Jones, Messrs. H. L. James, G-. Hogben, G. Living, C. Jones, C. R. Lake, W. Appleton, and J. M. Dale. The music, provided by an orchestra under the direction of Mr. Harry H. Tombs, was very much appreciated. The organisers are to be congratalated on the success of the fnnction, which should largely enhance the j funds of the Rod Cross Guilds; for which purpose the entertainment was arranged. The performance is to be repeated to-morrow evening.
