OTAKI, This Day. The Otaki Spring Meeting was continued to-day, m fine weather. There is a good attendance. Results:—

Trial Handicap, of 100 soys; five furlongs.—Ayah, 9.0, 1; Black Night, 7.13, 2; Battletide, 8.5, 3. Scratched •. Birkenetta, Onward, Moutoa. Won comfortably. Time, lmin 3 2-ssec.

Otaki Hack Handicap, of 110 soys; seven furlongs.—Glorify, 7.11, 1; Miss Deval, 8111, 2; Kukri, 8.6, 3. Scratched : Rongora, Lady Multifid, Quinn's Post. Won comfortably by a length. Time, lmin 28sec.

Te Ringi Steeplechase, of 150 soys; about two miles.—Merry Jack, 10.0, 1 ; Marton, 12.5, 2; Ruatangata, 10.6, 3. All started. Won by three lengths. Time, 4min 43sec.

President's Handicap, of 300 soys; one mile.—Taringamutu, 9.8, 1; Hylatus, 7.10, 2; Chakwana, 8.10, 3. Scratched— George. Won by half a head. .Time, lmin 41 2-ssec.
