DR. HELFFERICH'S ADMISSION
GREATER SACRIFICES AHEAD.

Dr. Helfferich, Minister of. the Interior, speaking to a representative trade deputation, admitted the effectiveness of the blockade. " None can deny," he said, " that we suffer heavily from the economic war, and that greater sacrifices and deprivations await the people." •
The Cologne Gazette admits that small investors, especially farmers, are not subscribing to the loan as formerly, for fear of national bankruptcy.
